A coffee called Toffee Crunch makes me think of a caramel colour, a sugary smell, and a chewy sweet taste that goes on and on. However, the coffee in front of me is none of those things. The smell is bitter and burnt and I am struggling to find anything defining about the taste. It’s hot and full of caffeine though, so I’m not complaining. How’s your coffee?

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that the family and I played soccer and baseball this week on the decent weather days. On the rainy days there were a few games of Othello and Ticket-to-Ride. I started a 1000-piece map puzzle, but I have accomplished much beyond the border pieces.
If we were having coffee, I would share with you the news that makes me want to do a happy dance. Check out the announcement: here. Now I am working on the cover and the blurb. More to come on all that later…
If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I am doing an ARC read for Canadian Indie author, Krista Walsh. I did an ARC read a few months ago on the first novel in her series Obscure. I really enjoyed it. So, I am lucky enough to get to do it again with book 2 Oblivious. I will post a review of it on Goodreads as soon as I finish reading. Other Indie author news. I was speaking to the Canadian author of Willow Awakened, Ascended, Avenged, Don Bourque, about doing a guest post here at Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils. He has agreed. We haven’t got further with the details, so I will keep you posted.
That about covers my news for the week: family, coffee, writing, and reading! If we were having coffee, it would be time for me to pass you the coffee pot.
