Chaga Tea anyone?

If we were sharing a hot virtual beverage this morning, I would ask you if you have ever heard of, or maybe tried, Chaga Tea? It is fungus from birch trees. On the tree it looks like charcoal. When steeped into tea, it turns the water a tawny colour. I don’t think it has much of a taste. It is like drinking a cup of warm water. Chaga tea, made from the Chaga mushroom, is believed by some to have some significant health benefits: intestinal health, liver protection, inflammation reduction, immune system balance, lower cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure. And just like anything else, there are risk associated as well. Anyway, that’s in my cup this morning. What are you sipping?

If we were having coffee tea, I would share with you that The Ember Stone is now for sale on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The entire process, from writing the first sentence to seeing it hit the market, has been a lot of fun and an amazing learning experience. I have been trying to create a landing page for the novel on my blog. I changed it so many times trying to get it to look fun and profession. If you have time to pop over and have a look, I would love to hear your thoughts? Here. I also did an audio reading post on the 8th, which was launch day. That was new to me. If you are curious about it, you can check it out: here.

If we were having coffee tea, I would share that I have been looking ahead to next year’s blogging activities and goals. I am thinking for April’s A to Z that I might share book reviews. It would be fun and different from my usual. I have found that I really enjoy sharing my thoughts on the books I am reading. I have become pretty active with it on Goodreads. In addition, I have been thinking about what Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils will look like in 2023. I’m thinking that I might enchant my coffee shares.

If we were having coffee tea, I would share that I have been working on the same 2000-piece puzzle for some time now. It’s a hard Star Wars themed one. I’m hoping to find some time to finish it in the next week. The weather is nice enough to pack up puzzles for a couple months.

If we were having coffee tea, I would pass you the teapot and the coffee pot. Mugs up. How was your week?

    1. Just visited the book page – looks great..Did you create an author’s page on Amazon? I have no idea if it helps, but something you should do if you haven’t.

  1. Congratulations on your publication! I can only imagine how wonderful that feels! Your landing page looks great! The only thing I might add it a hyper-link in your last bullet “Reach out to Shari if you would like…” so those interested can immediately click over to contact you. I hope you’re allowing yourself to sit in the magic of your accomplishment and hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

  3. HI Shari,
I don’t have much experience with devices like “landing pages” but yours looks great to me. I did note that you left comments off and wondered why. Would a landing page not be be a great place to capture reader’s thoughts about the book?

Also, I caught myself wondering how the reclusive Shari is holding up? I do think that the success we both hope you’ll see of necessity attracts attention and can be counter productive to wanting to be left-alone.

    Hope all is well.

    1. I had turned the comments off on my pages a long while back. My home page had gotten very lengthy to scroll through and sometimes it gets a bit difficult to keep up. I adjusted the length of time comments are open on posts too so I can try to keep up with comments.

I’m holding up okay. Thanks for asking.

Hope all is well with you. Thanks for stopping in Gary.

  4. It’s tea in my cup too. I’ve just been through the process of updating my author website and landing page – and the books page. I still have some work to do to link across to my blog site but we’re getting there slowly and surely. It’s such a learning curve isn’t it?

  5. I like chaga, but I’ve only had it in a coffee pre-mixes though. I’ve been meaning to participate in an A to Z challenge, but I always forget. I know it requires planning ahead. Book reviews sounds like a great theme!
