Cinnamon Rooibos Chai is my go-to tea. I love it. The loose leaf is a reddish-brown colour that looks like thousands of tiny wood splitters mixed with small brown chunks of bark. It is actually a delightful blend of cinnamon and apple. It smells exactly as I would expect it too. It’s a spicy and woody scent. Once steeped the tea remains a dark reddish-brown that is just a bit see through. The flavour is warm and woody with a cinnamon after taste.

If we were having coffee tea, I would share with you that my College Alumni magazine “Family Ties” is going share my news about my debut novel “The Ember Stone” in the upcoming edition. So, excited about it. I am also very excited because the release date for “The Ember Stone” is just over a month away. I had written the first 8 chapters of book 2 earlier this year, but took a break to dedicate some editing time to “The Ember Stone.” I am back to writing, and this week’s goal is to write chapter 9.
If we were having coffee tea, I would share my COVID update. The doctor confirmed that my ears, nose, and throat are still inflamed. However, he said that he can’t give me any medication because COVID medication is only useful in the first 5 days of symptoms. So, he said just manage the best I can with Tylenol and steaming. The good thing is, I am not contagious. The sad part is, there is no way to know how long the symptoms will linger.
If we were having coffee tea, I would share with you that my oldest son turns twelve next week. He wants to go out for dinner to celebrate. We haven’t returned to pre-COVID birthday parties. I think going out for a nice family dinner will be fun. Then home and he can open a present or two. My youngest son is planning to do the same in a month when he turns nine.
If we were having coffee tea, I would share with you the A-to-Z blogging challenge ends today. My letter Z post is live if you want to check it out. I confess, I lost wind this week in terms of keeping up with A-to-Z comments and visiting other posts. It was a good challenge and I look forward to doing it again next year. I am already considering next years theme. I might do book reviews. Something different then anything I have done for the challenge to date, but that it a year away so we will have to wait and see.
Here is the tea pot my virtual friend. How was your week?

Very cool about the alumni magazine featuring your novel writing experience! Good luck on book 2 🙂 I’m sorry there is little to be done about the Covid symptoms. Really sucks, I’m sure.
Hope your weekend is going well and that you have a wonderful week!

Slow… Some time soon I will do all of the formatting and other super boring work. After that, maybe another editing pass.

The editing seems to never end. It is a rabbit hole all by itself. Good luck, I will watch for updates about it on your blog.

I hope your health improves soon. So many people have had Covid. I’ve avoided it so far but keep thinking it has to happen soon. It will be lovely to go out for dinner soon with your sons. I’m so impressed with your book publishing. Congratulations. Also congrats on finishing A to Z for another year.
