It’s all there in the name: ice cream. A frozen crystalline solid of thick fatty liquid. On a spoon, in a cone, or topping a different sweet treat. This sweet flavoured frozen food is an icy dessert or a companion. The frosted flakes of milk fat melt on the tongue, smooth and creamy.

Classic flavours of vanilla and chocolate give way to fancier flavours like praline & cream, heavenly hash, salted caramel, moose tracks… Eat it plain or dress it up with syrups, fruits, sprinkles, nuts, and various other toppings.

Historically known as Iced Cream and abbreviated to ice cream.

I always loved ice cream but my lactose intorlance has gotten pretty bad and since chemo therapy, chocolate has a tin-taste to it. However, I pop a lactait pill and put up with residual symptoms for coffee ice cream.

I work in a gelato factory but I like ice cream as well – though I have to avoid it now – diabetes…
