Headache

Something feels a little off, not enough yet though to identify the feeling, predict the meaning, or anticipate the outcome. Without warning specks appear in your vision, shadows that race away before direct line of sight can lock in on them. A throbbing starts in the head. Its uncomfortable at first, nagging and persistent in its radiation through. The intensity grows until it is sharp and viselike causing the stomach to roll and perhaps even retch. It now feels like the light is attacking. The head can’t find comfort standing on the neck or nestled against a pillow. It aches!

  1. Ouch! As a chronic Migraine suffer for over three decades this piece was all too familiar (written superbly by the way). Luckily I’ve found relief in recent years. Well not really luckily, I did a ton of mind-body work to address the pain, but fortunate. Thanks for sharing.
