Trick-or-Treat and coffee please

There is a complex coffee roasted peanut smell rising from my coffee mug. My coffee this morning is Sundae’s peanut butter coffee. The very thought of peanut butter makes me crave that sweet, earthy and buttery flavour. I know that the creamy oily texture that both sticks and melts won’t be present in my coffee cup but it is called to mind anyway. That first sip of coffee is bitter and smooth with a nutty after taste!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I have submitted my application for the Master in Fine Arts Creative Writing program. The waiting game begins. I am thankful that the wait is only till March. I am excited and nervous to see what happens.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that I have created a haunted Halloween hunt for my boys in the basement. I have hidden some treats and once it starts to get dark, they will go down to the basement if they are brave enough. Both my boys picked scary clown costumes this year. What they don’t know is that my husband and I picked Pennywise costumes and plan to hide in the basement to give them a scare.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that it is puzzle season and I have started my first puzzle. It is a Ravensburger puzzle of a café. I haven’t done this one before so I am looking forward to seeing the finished picture. This one is a 1000 piece puzzle. I also have a 2000 piece puzzle that I haven’t completed before and it is next on the to be completed list.

If we were having coffee, I would pass you the candy bowl and the coffee pot. How did your October go? Do you have any Halloween plans?

  1. Oh I definitely love this! You’re all about coffee, writing, and family. Like that’s it right there. And again COFFEE! Love this!! If I could hit the like button several times I’d do so unfortunately that is not an option.

  2. Coffee with a peanut butter note sounds delicious! I’ve never really taken the time to taste coffee like I do with whiskey, to analyse flavours in it. Maybe I should!
The Halloween hunt sounds like fun, especially with the Pennywise costumes!
My October was very busy and I’m sort of glad that it’s over. I don’t care much about Halloween myself but I’ve taken out my knitted spiders as decor.

    1. Thank you Angela.

The boys did pretty good with the hunt. There were a couple of decorations that were motion censored to speak and that got a couple jumps out of them. It was fun.

I hope you have a good week too. Thanks for stopping in.
