Some of you many know that my mother passed away in the summer. I know, its weekly smile, and so please let me explain. My older son asked for a picture of grandma to put in his room so I dragged out the thumb drives to find one for him. The picture I found is of my mother and my older son shortly after we brought him home. It is a picture, and a moment, that made my smile then and makes me smile now.

Big thanks for Trent’s World (The Blog) for The Weekly Smile group.

I’m very sorry about your mother. I think it is great that your son wanted a picture of her for his room, and I’m sure that was the perfect photo for it.

Hi Shari, Life and work has been nuts and I’m just now getting to this, this amazing story and photo. The way and timing that my mom passed did not allow for such capture of a similar memory for my kids. I’m envious, but grateful for the legacy and memories we both have of our moms. This photo, I predict will become priceless in how your boy recalls grandma. Wonderful!
