Welcome to the thirty-fifth book review of fifty-three. As you know, I used to provide freelance book reviews to several review companies. It was a great experience that introduced me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.

If we were having coffee, I would share that my vendor booth at ComiCon last weekend was fun. I will look for future ComiCon events to participate in. In the event’s wake, I have been spending time updating my website to encourage search engines to pick it up and share it. If we were having coffee, I would share an update about my tarot and oracle deck creation. I decided that what I was creating was too AI-focused, and although very pretty, the energy I want for the deck wasn’t coming through. So, I trashed it. I am happy to announce that the project has restarted with my older son as the artist behind the project. He will do the bulk of the drawing, and I will provide the guidelines, the write-up, and help with the art where my skill set allows. We have no set deadline yet, but the energy coming into the project is fabulous.

If we were having coffee, I would ask if you do any digital drawing. If so, can you recommend a program? This is something I would like to try, but I have no idea where to start.
