Welcome to the twenty-ninth book review of fifty-three. As you know, I used to provide freelance book reviews to several review companies. It was a great experience that introduced me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.

If we were having coffee, the book review noted above was another book club read from the month that the theme was recommended reads. I will eventually read the full trilogy.
If we were having coffee, I would start by sharing that my first middle-grade fantasy novel is available for purchase on Amazon today: The Lost Goblin Map. I would also share the link to When the Cards Call: Choosing Your First Tarot Deck, which I posted on Monday. Some blog changes I’m making promoted that post. More on that as it occurs.

If we were having coffee, I would share that my husband and I went on a haunted walk on Wednesday. It was the Fort Henry walk in Kingston, Ontario. Fort Henry is considered to be one of the most haunted places in Canada. It was a lot of fun, and I’m hoping to do another haunted walk later in the year.

Congrats on your new book! Glad you had fun on the Fort Henry walk. I love the round stone historic buildings at the fort. Thank you for your weekend coffee share.

The haunted walk was at night, and only our tour guide carried a light. I didn’t get to appreciate the architecture as I would in a daytime tour. The focus was on hauntings and the history of those ghosts. I would like to go back and do a tour in the day eventually.
Thank you for stopping in. Happy Saturday.

A haunted walk sound slightly scary! Perhaps a fantasy author needs one every once in a while? 😉

The history presented during the walk was interesting. There is an element of spookiness on the walk, for sure. It was fun, and there were some writing inspiration moments.
Happy Saturday, Maria.

Congratulations on your book! I wish you lots of success on it! We did the Jack the Ripper tour when we were in London, and it was fascinating, but normally I am not one for scary things. Glad you enjoyed your tour. Have a great week!
