I confess that I haven’t yet read this Cape Bay Café Mystery. The title and cover have a cozy feel, so I added it to my To-Be-Read list for my blog-themed book reviews. However, I need a break from my themed reading.
If you want more information on this title, you can read reviews on Goodreads.
If we were having coffee, I would share that we had some much-needed rain this week. The temperatures were cooler. A few mornings had a fall feel to them. We still fit our walks in. One evening after dinner, we walked in the rain. It rained lightly, so we were damp, but not soaked.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I am still working my way through Blood of the Fold. This novel is over 600 pages. So, it’s longer than the other books I read this summer. I have fewer than 200 pages to go. I’m also reading The Writer’s Complete Fantasy Reference.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I hadn’t been doing any novel writing between the end of July and this past week. It was an enjoyable break, but it’s time to get back to it. So, earlier in the week, I read through the chapters I had previously written, set myself up to write Chapter 8, and wrote it. Completing my rough draft by January seems reasonable. So, that is my current goal. What writing project are you working on?

Hi Shari! So nice to catch up with you over a cuppa! I’ve been out of pocket for the last month as summer + farm life have thoroughly kicked my butt. Alas, I can *almost see the other side and am excited to reconnect in the Blogosphere 🙂 I hope you’re doing wonderfully and enjoy a great week ahead!

I am glad to hear there is light at the end of the tunnel. August had a kick to it and it seemed to fly by. Thanks for stopping in, Melissa.
