These books by Sue Grafton are often referred to as the Alphabet Series. I think that it’s a fun way to fashion the series and designate titles.
The following review was originally posted on Goodreads: August 2022.
A for Alibi is book one of twenty-five ranging from letter A to letter Y.
A is for Alibi is a smooth read with the right amount of suspense built in. The reader is engaged and questioning motives and suspects right alongside of Kinsey Millhone. Kinsey, herself, is a fun likeable character. She has her own quirks that make her unique and realistic.
The conclusion is fast-paced and gripping. I found myself left with a curiosity about what’s next in life for Kinsey… A curiosity that can only be fulfilled by reading B is for Burglar.

Ah! I have added X to my TBR already, when I was hunting for an X last year. I didn’t fancy reading it, though. Will beinteresting to see what you think of the series by the time we get to Z 🙂

I didn’t read the full series Jemima, I switch to different books for the next few letters. That said, I did read X and Y though. Thanks for stopping in.

When I read your post, I thought you were sorted till the alphabet Y and the Z would be your way to wrap up the entire series. But then I read your comment and look forward to reading your other posts.

Sounds interesting, would love to have the summary here as well to understand more about the book, and to be able to decide whether or not it’s for me. 25 books in a series though is definitely impressive on its own! Thanks for sharing!

I confess that I haven’t read the whole series. I have only read 3 or 4 of the titles so far and not in order. So, I can’t provide a series summary. If you pop back for X and Y, I will be providing some details about those books in the series.

Wow 25 books in a series is amazing and you are attempting to review them all is just fantastic. I am always on a look out for a good crime series and will be interesting to see how this goes.

I am actually only reviewing 4 books in the Alphabet Series: A, H, X and Y. However, my letter U book review might interest you because it is a crime thriller.

Sue Grafton’s A to Y series….love that you are reviewing several of her books. I haven’t read Alibi, so your review was enticing to begin at the beginning rather than at the end with ‘Y’. I knew there wouldn’t be a ‘Z’…sadly as she died before it was finished. Thanks for visiting ‘A Dig Artist’s Diary’ and commenting about finding sea glass with your sons. Treasure for sure…as well as sea shells.
