Who doesn’t love maple syrup?

This is a new coffee for me. It’s called, “Bean Around the World, Canada, Maple Syrup flavoured coffee.” There’s a caramelized smell of sugar rising in the hot steam from my mug. It’s sweet and delicious. It has a buttery mellow taste of cooked sugar with a roasted flavour. Can I offer you a cup?

If we were having coffee, I would share that this week was Fantasy Writer’s Week hosted by Pro-Writing Aid. It ran Monday to Thursday. Lots of great speakers and information. I’m hoping to register for the Crime Writer’s Week that runs in April. I haven’t attended this particular virtual conference, but I imagine it will be as enjoyable as Fantasy Writer’s Week.

If we were having coffee, I share that this week was also the week for the Women in Publishing Summit. It started Wednesday and runs until Saturday night. Day one focused on writing, craft, and mindset. Day two was Editing, Production, and Routes to Publishing. Day 3 (today) is about marketing. And day 4 focuses on Business Building Tools. On day one I attended a presentation called, “Do Dead Bodies Sit Up?” It was presented by Louise Pachella, and it was content-heavy but very interesting. So, many great sessions. If you didn’t attend this year, you should mark it on your calendar for next year.

If we were having coffee, I would apologize but I need to run. I have a session to attend. I’ll try to stop in for a virtual coffee with you later in the weekend.

  1. Sounds like a great week talking about the art form we love.
I also want to know if that tiny figure sitting between you books was modeled after you? I’ve only seen a few photos of you, but that tiny action figure could be you – right?
Anyway – have a great time and yes, go ahead and make us jealous of all the cool things you’re learning.

    1. The little figure is meant to be me but wasn’t modelled after me. I just had luck finding it. I also have one of my husband, my boxer, and my boys when they were younger. Why? Well, I was into making miniature model houses for a time and I had one with my family and I living in it. I don’t have the house anymore, but I couldn’t part with the miniature people.

      Thanks for stopping in, Gary.
