After the rejected marriage proposal Bramble withdrew to the cupboard. I thought my cup was just taking a break, but Bramble ran off with an antique tea cup named Bee. They sent a coffee-scented postcard to let me know that they were happily married and are living in a tea and coffee shop on the west coast of Canada. So, it looks like we will be back to sharing coffee descriptions in the weeks to come . . .
If we were having coffee, I would remind 2023 coffee share posts for me started with a running story themed around enchanted coffee (posted at the top in italics). I kind of lost wind with it, but I hope you had a fun few coffee shares with it. I did.
If we were having coffee, I would share with you that shortly after I posted my coffee share last Friday my older son woke up sick. He got progressively more ill over the day and didn’t end up going on his weekend trip. It was a lazy weekend. Home COVID test was negative which didn’t really surprise me, there seems to be a number of different colds/virus going around. He’s starting to feel a bit better, but it’s my turn now. My goodness am I tired!
If we were having coffee, I would share my latest puzzle with you. It was a bit faster to complete because it is only a 500-piece puzzle.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that Chimera and Curses is available for eBook pre-order on Amazon. The launch date is March 29, 2023.
If you didn’t get a chance to check out my post about WIP, you can read it: here.
Anyway, I need to rest for a few minutes. Tell me, how was your week?

That is a super cute puzzle! I hope you feel better soon. There is so much sickness going around this year.

Thanks, Natalie. I might have a public art challenge share next weekend, if I get a chance to get the picture this week.

The puzzle has a nice relaxing feel. I could use a feet-up kind of day with a hot drink and a good book. Thanks for stopping in, Jennifer.

Well, bummer about Bramble taking off.
I wonder, but know you are plenty qualified to discern if any enchanting dust or other tiny artifacts might have been left to grow and enchant other objects in the cupboard. Perhaps letting the aura of a used ember stone in the cabinet would render it fully purged and disenchanted. . .
Just a thought. . .
Also, bummer about your son and maybe even you getting ill. There’s rarely goodness in such turns of events.
Rest up. Get a new puzzle to keep the mind gently ticking away and maybe some dark tea you can dope up with a bit of orange juice.
Hope you’re on the mend by the time you see this note.
Blessings.

Ember stone magic to jazz up life, I like that. Haha, I’m still re-editing The Ember Stone. At this point, you probably wouldn’t recognize it.
I have started a new 2000-piece puzzle. Excellent advice. But black tea with orange juice, like mix it together?

Hi Shari,
Wow – this does sound a big edit. What caused you to change so much? You had a lot of great things happening. Did I miss some plot holes or something?
Surely you’ve had black tea with lemon. OJ is also a citrus and would taste similar. Think of trying a few to several drops of OJ to give tea a slight orange taint. I can’t take much OJ because it’s as sweet as candy and stirs up my type II diabetes issues.
I hope warmer weather has found its way to your corner of the globe.

Love the puzzle! I hope you and your son recover soon, and you both have a room to rest in that’s as cozy as the one pictured in the puzzle.

Hi Shari – sorry to hear that your son and yourself have been unwell – nice that it’s not covid, but still horrible to get a bad cold (most colds seem to be bad ones these days – I think we reduced our natural immunity with all the isolation).
