Welcome to the thirty-sixth book review of fifty-three. As you know, I used to provide freelance book reviews to several review companies. It was a great experience that introduced me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.

If we were having coffee, I would ask you to connect on Goodreads so we can share our love of books and our book reviews: Shari_Marshall. I shared a review for the above-noted title.
If we were having coffee, I would start by sharing the link to my book coach interview with FriesenPress: In Conversation with FriesenPress Book Coaches: Advice, Inspiration, and Writing Wisdom.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I’ve been invited to attend a Writer Showcase in October. I feel grateful for the invitation and look forward to my first showcase event. I’m excited to meet other local authors and speak with book lovers who attend the event.
If we were having coffee, I would share that book club starts back up next week. I’m looking forward to seeing what our monthly themes are going to be and what book everyone matches to the themes. It’s a fun way to run a book club. Our theme for this first meeting after summer break is “What you read over the summer.” I’m reading Fateless by Julie Kagawa right now, so that will be the book I talk about.
Well, virtual coffee friend, here is the coffee bean grinder. How was your week?
