If we were sipping tea…

The flavour is strong as it first crosses the taste buds but there is no after taste. Would I describe it as a medicinal taste? Maybe a faint one. This morning’s tea is called “Organic Cold 911.” It is a blend of peppermint, apple, eucalyptus, juniper berries, organic orange oil and peppermint oil, I enjoy having this tea if I’m feeling under the weather or if someone around me is sick. Cold 911 is caffeine free.

If we were having coffee tea, I would share with you that the snow has melted here finally. The weather hasn’t been the best but there is hope the sun will shine. The trees have buds and I’m sure there will be flowers soon.

If we were having coffee tea, I would share that I finished reading The Wishing Spell which is the first book in the Land of Stories series. It is a series that I was hoping one of my boys would read, but neither took an interest so I decided to read book one on my own. It’s a fun read. I did a review on Goodreads: here .

If we were having coffee tea, I would say that there isn’t a lot to share this week but it left me exhausted. How about you? How was your week?

  1. Hi Shari.
I wish I had a copy of your quiet weekend before me but I’ve got some great distractions that will delay most of my coffee sharing.
Today I’m helping teach a woman’s pistol clinic and tomorrow we hope to be out of town helping a troubled family member celebrate their graduation- so I’ll pretty much be out of everyone’s virtual hair.
I’ve already driven to the clinic site and downed my mugs of both tea & coffee so as soon as the caffeine hits I’ll be ready for the day.
I bet it’s hard for you to sit still when I’ll, but (friend to friend) I’ll remind you that rest is one of your best tools to recover from the bug-that-will-remain-unmentioned.
If I could, I’d sit you down with a fresh mug of tea and have you quietly think through a few scenes for volume 2 of the Ember Files. I’d wager that even you would enjoy that. 😉

    1. Thanks Gary. I am hoping to fit a few minutes in this afternoon reading an advanced reader copy (ARC) of a book for another author. That will be some rest and relax time.

      A pistol clinic sounds interesting.

I hope everything goes well for you this weekend. If the days are busy, hopefully you can find a few minutes in the evening to relax.

  2. “…the snow has melted here finally.” Yikes. It is so sweltering here I can’t think of snow having just melted! On the other hand, there are still mountains in New Hampshire with snow – ski season on Mt. Washington is mid-May through mid-June (earlier is too dangerous because of avalanches).
Hope you have a wonderful week!
