Pumpkin spice month.

The tenth month of the Gregorian calendar year, but Octo was the eighth month of the old Roman calendar. October is a chill month. The month nestled between September and November. A fall month with many well known symbols: orange, pumpkin, fall leaves, sweaters…

October’s, perhaps, less known associations are many. The Celtic Animal calendar assigns October the Butterfly, the messenger of transformation. It is also the month of the opal and pink tourmaline. It is Winterfylleth. And seventy-five days until year’s end. The Libra and the Scorpion share the month. And research shows October equals longevity.

    1. I think August would be a good month to describe. 6th month of the Roman calendar. We would need to include something about the moon and the sun, warm weather, light green for the birth stone…Hmm, I would probably include something about heading into the change of season… August is another beautiful month.
