This year at Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils my theme is “this year I am writing a novel.” So, in light of that I decided to try and keep to the theme a bit with my A to Z topic. I decided on using writing words that start with each letter of the alphabet to create short posts.

There is sat, bulky and cumbersome. It was an oversized collection of scholarly articles bound together as one printed work. The very nature of its appearance screamed complex. This monster sat solitary on the large mahogany desk and didn’t appear dwarfed by it as other books might. It dominated this silent section of the library waiting for the next student victim to sit down and try to tackle its content for their first term paper. If this tome could be heard it would be laughing a deep resonating wicked laugh!

Opps, thank you. I have updated that to wicked.

A wick laugh would be an interesting idea: Out of an action, laughter fires up, burns bright, but it eventually burns out.
Too poetic?

It is a fun idea and could build into an interesting little story I think…

Terrific! I liked how you personified the tome. I imagine it has a mischievous personality.
