This year at Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils my theme is “this year I am writing a novel.” So, in light of that I decided to try and keep to the theme a bit with my A to Z topic. I decided on using writing words that start with each letter of the alphabet to create short posts.
L – Lover of Words
Logophile: lover of words.

As I looked around the room I initially felt at a loss. This was her secret room, kept locked and guarded as if a pirate’s treasure was hidden here. The walls are scrawled with words: serendipity, obelisk, benevolence, incandescence, effervescence, eloquent, paramour, nefarious, ethereal, illicit, luminescence, oblivion, ephemeral…
There are piles of well read books. Some books lay open revealing words and phrases circled in pencil, highlighted in yellow and underlined in red. The desk is littered with handwritten notes and unfinished stories. Everywhere I look there are words, words and words!
I have an epiphany; the words were her treasure. She was a true lover of words!

Lovely! Is this “she” the ghost writer? I love words, too. Two of my favorite words are cacophony and plethora.

Actually I hadn’t been connecting the posts when I am writing them but I love the idea of it being her now that you mentioned it!

Being something of a logophile myself, it’s a room I’d love to visit!
