G –Ghost Writer

This year at Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils my theme is “this year I am writing a novel.” So, in light of that I decided to try and keep to the theme a bit with my A to Z topic. I decided on using writing words that start with each letter of the alphabet to create short posts.

G –Ghost Writer

She was no longer solid. As she stood in the window the light from the moon passed through her. Anyone looking into the window from outside might see the delicate outline of her sheer body but it would be the old desk littered with papers and writing tools that would be noticeable. Just a haze of her obscuring the area her body would have blocked is she still lived. With a sigh she glides behind the large desk and continues to write. Even in death she is a writer.

  3. Nice! I love the idea of her writing in the afterlife as opposed to ghost writers who write for an author. Does she write for herself? Will anyone see it? Or has she been summoned by the living to write for them? I want to know more.

    1. I felt like using “ghost writer” in this manner was a bit more fun for a post. Great questions about her and her writing. I think this short piece could totally go forward as a writing prompt.
