For some reason this morning I would love to hit a drive through and grab a coffee. Instead as I make my morning cup of java I envision a delicious light roast coffee in the cup holder of my F150, and in my mind’s eye I can see that rich nut brown colour waiting to dampen my palate. The aroma rising with the steam would be reminiscent of hazelnuts and vanilla. The only thing that would keep that mild flavour from washing over my tongue immediately is the fear of being scalded, so instead I would drive on enjoying only the scent of it.
If we were having coffee I would share a couple picture from our Halloween hunt. My zombie mom costume was a hit. We watched “Halloween Town 2” and it was a hit. Overall, it was a successful Halloween.
If we were having coffee I would share with you that one of my boys is back to homeschool for the next week or two. It isn’t clear yet. His school has a COVID outbreak so they closed the doors temporarily for in class learning. He was upset because he really wants to be at school.
If we were having coffee I would ask how NaNoWriMo is going for those of you who are participating this year? I didn’t join this year. I did on the spur of the moment join up for NaNoPoBlano though and it is going okay so far: More then I can Chew.

If we were having coffee I would ask you about your week as I pass you the coffee pot.

Mmmm I could smell the coffee in your truck. Wait. Nope that was my coffee maker finishing its brew cycle. 😊 Your Halloween photos look like fun. Enjoy your coffee and have a great weekend. ☕☕☕

Sounds like you enjoy Halloween… Looks like a lot of fun. Sorry your son is back to home schooling. I’m sure about everyone in the world is waiting for things to return to normal!

It is hard not to wonder how much of this is a part of the new normal.

That description of your coffee made me drool, and I don’t even feel like coffee now (it’s 7pm.) I’m glad your boy get to be homeschooled for a couple weeks. It’s scary when the virus is so close. Several schools in our town have children that are down with the virus. It is scary. I think about it, but try not to think about it constantly. I do everything we possibly can, but I have to go to work tomorrow, and send my daughter to school – there is no option. Thank you for sharing these Halloween photos. It sure looks like a fabulous Halloween!

It is such a challenging time world wide. I tell myself and my family that we are all doing the best we can and that is all we can do. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping in.

Thank you for sharing your cup of coffee & a catchup. I am gingerly sipping my strong builder’s tea with milk (certainly not as aromatic as your cuppa).
Your Halloween looked suitably scary!
Hope your kiddo feels better about homeschool – it’s tough when they actually like going to school. But the situation being what it is ….
Y’all keep safe and well.
