Coffee Share

If we were having coffee I would explain that there is no thought to the rich scent of my coffee. I’m not going to talk about the pillows of steam or the warmth radiating off my mug. Guzzling the hot brown liquid is my only thought, rush, rush, and rush. Although we are settling into a bit of a routine it all feels rushed and the boys are wild! It has been 4 weeks of at home with only 2 car trips out of the house. Heavy sigh. I hope everyone is holding up okay.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that there was a rather interesting demonstration that the children were listening to some of the things we were working on together for home school. The 6 year old and I were reviewing sound combinations and we were working particularly on “uck”. Now you have to understand that he works very hard to seem as if he isn’t listening or learning. It was a day or two later when my ears picked up the sound of my children happily singing using the letters u-c-k. However, I was horrified to see that he took our lesson and applied to his own devices and was happily sign F-U-C-K over and over again! That was not part of the lesson!

If we were having coffee I would ask you if you are participating in A to Z and if so how is it going?

If we were having coffee I would share a picture of the Alice in Wonderland puzzle that I finished and you might note a box in the upper corner of the picture where you can get a glimpse of the next puzzle I am going to tackle.

Spanish word of the week: nieve or snow.
Neive or it’s snowing was a popular sentence this week. Es la primavera pero hace frío y hace mal tiempo (it’s spring but its cold out and the weather is bad).

If we were having coffee I would ask you how your week was.

  1. Shari, my daughter is completing a lot of puzzles and gluing them together when she is done. I have no idea what she intents to do with them, now. Frame them? What do you do when you finish yours?

Me? I am happy just drinking my coffee.

    1. I haven’t glued any yet, but I would like to glue a couple for my boy’s room. There is a space one and a dinosaur one that I think they would like. For now, I break them up and put them back in the box so I can do them again another time.

Thanks for stopping in. Have a nice week!

  2. Hi Shari:
I’ve had two pretty stressful weeks that have nothing to do with Covid-19. Yesterday is shut off my computer and phone around 10am and it was nice. Read, wrote, watched TV. Relaxed.

AtoZ this year is a real challenge for me. Very low stats. Extremely low comments. Kinda discouraging. I thought people would appreciate my brevity this year (which was a “complaint” from a few last years).
I am not as motivated as I was on April 1st.

I still have to do J for yesterday. Sigh.

Have fun with the wee ones. Learning experiences for everyone.

    1. I found readership and comments low this year as well. Just one of those years I guess. I need to write my Monday and Tuesday letters today but I am not feeling very motivated.

Your computer off day sounds nice! Hope your Sunday is nice.

  3. Wow, I imagine it must be hard for the boys to be inside so much. We live in a secluded area and are able to spend a lot of time outside. That really helps! We just came back from a 4 mile walk along a lake. At least one loong walk is part of our daily routine now. Hang in there, this too will pass. Thank you for the coffee!

    1. Well the other thing about outside is that we still have a lot of snow and it isn’t very warm yet. They have been getting out a bit and we try and do the walk thing too on days that are a bit warmer.

      Thanks for stopping in.

  4. I love the puzzle! A to Z is going very well. Much better than last year. Last year, I don’t think I managed to visit hardly any blogs. This year I’ve found several that I’m obsessed with AND I’ve kept up with the blogs (like yours) that I follow year around!

  5. Awe, my heart goes out to those with little ones being stuck inside for the most part. You had me giggling at the word they discovered. 🤣 My kids when they were little put together two swear words that my Mom would say and I caught them saying it while playing. (Shitdamit) it sounded strange all blurred together. They were around 5 and 6 yrs old, oh dear… Their Grandma babysat which was a blessing for me working full time! But she had a few words that well, when frustrated she would say. Anyways, thanks for the coffee and I love the puzzles!!
