The Mood of my Coffee: Nostalgia

Have you ever had one of those moments where you get a glimpse of what your life could have been if you made a different choice at an earlier point in time? No judgement, just difference. You are thankful for where you are but maybe you remember grappling with that choice and standing here now you wonder why you choose as you did. Simple curiosity and maybe an appreciation for life’s power to work out for the best; that whole idea of where one door closes another door opens. Is that too deep for before the bottom of your coffee mug reveals itself?

If we were having coffee I would tell you that this house selling business has me thinking of the 2 other houses that we lived in and all the firsts and life changing events that happened while we were living in them. It also has me forward looking to our next house; what is that going to look like and what adventures are in store? So, many chapters…

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I had a bit of a road trip this week without the family. I don’t like being away from the herd but sometimes it just has to go that way. Regardless, we all survived. Haha. Hmm, what else? Can’t say there is a lot.

If we were having coffee I would share a fast review of January’s photo prompts. It was a fun month.

If we were having coffee I would tip my mug to you and wish you a great week!

  1. Good reminder – I’ll try to get a story for the ashtray prompt out tomorrow… May have more to say on house selling in a couple of weeks. I hope your weekend is going well and that you have a great week.

      1. That is quite alright. On my side I have meant to participate in your challenge and have missed every week! I’ll get another story in soon 🙂

  2. I love this. Nostalgia hits me hard sometimes. I love my life, really and truly, but sometimes I wonder about past people and how things would have could have been different if we had all made different choices. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I watched a show since posting this that talked about the idea of parallel lives and asked what you imagine you and your life would be in one of those worlds? Another interesting thought or conversation starter I think.
