Dirty Laundry

As I am sure you have gathered from the image above Dirty Laundry isn’t referring to the mound of clothing waiting for somebody to feed into the washing machine. It also doesn’t refer to a discussion about how to launder clothing when camping. So, what are we referring to?

Having the trailer opened up a new world for our summer holidays because we use the time to travel and see new things. When we took our trip to British Columbia last summer we took the time to visit some wine country.

The first winery that we visited was Dirty Laundry. It was a beautiful winery situated high above the town. The story behind it is great; a nineteenth century Chinese laundry that was also a brothel.

We didn’t get a chance to sit on the beautiful little patio and drink wine and eat crusty breads dipped in oils, but it is certainly on my list of things to do the next time we camp out that way. The patio was quaint and called to visitors to pull up a seat and just enjoy. I did get a chance to savor some wines during a tasting and of course purchase some fermented grapes to take home.

  1. What a beautiful place to visit! And interesting history and name. Love your photos and it would be great to sit on that porch and enjoy a glass of wine. ~Diana 😀

    1. Wine and some of the lovely bread with oils. I had my young boys with the day we visited so the sitting and enjoying part didn’t happen but it was a beautiful place to visit. Thanks for stopping in!
