With coffee and waiting for the day to start

The sound of coffee bubbling in my little mini coffee maker is music to my ears. Its rippling sound is accompanied by the welcome scent of my morning java. It is a welcome sound in the camper as the rest of my family slumbers. A relaxing sigh couples with the soft sound the coffee is now making as I pour it into my mug. I happily settle onto the sofa with my coffee and a good book while I wait for the day to start.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the weather this week has been cold and rainy. Actually, my husband had to drive to the neighbouring town on Thursday and it was snowing. SNOWING! He sent me a picture and the ground was covered in a skiff of white. I don’t know what is going on with the weather; it gets stranger and stranger every year.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I am almost through that yoga book I mentioned when we had our virtual coffee last week. I am just reading about a few of the poses and the health benefits. I haven’t had a lot of reading time this week actually. Anyway, once the yoga book is done I am picking that second last Wheel of Time book back up. I am curious how it is all going to end.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that there hasn’t been many mornings this week where I got to wait for the day to start. There has been alarm clocks, a dog who likes to wake me up and children who do the same…I am glad it is the week end! Perhaps I’ll schedule a nap.

How was your week?

  1. I enjoyed having coffee with you this weekend. The weather has been different this year and for where I live cooler, so no complaints here! It’s nice to be able to get up before everyone and enjoy that cup of Joe! ☕ Love the smell!! And tastes even better! I’ll be riding my horses this weekend, and I work too but it’s night shift work. I Enjoy your posts! ~ Diana

  2. Thank you for the delicious coffee, (I just realized that I completely missed having coffee today! It’s 5.30pm now, so its way too late) ..hm..the yoga book sounds very interesting, so does snow! Wow! It’s 3 digit temperatures here, and my first tomato just turned red.
