Coffee & Talk of Thanks

Celebrating 500 followers: I am thankful for all of you!! Thank you for all your support.

The smell of caffeine is rich in the air to the point that the air almost appears alive with it. I am thankful for the good feelings it stimulates and I am thankful to know that my first sip of coffee this morning is only a few moments away.

If we were having coffee in March I would tell you some of the things that I am thankful for this week.

First, I am thankful for trying a new recipe this week. We tried crockpot lasagna and not only was delicious but it self-cooks all day and is ready when we get home. I was inspired to try this recipe this week because I tried making mushroom risotto last week and loved how it turned out. The meal plan has been feeling a bit stale so I am thankful we are in the mode to spice it up.

The second thing I am thankful for this week was report card day at my older boy’s school. He brought home another great report card. I love seeing the growth from one term to the next and it is also nice to know that he strives hard and enjoys learning. High five to everyone who works hard to make great learning environments.

I am thankful for all those moments this week that my family offered me hugs just because they wanted to and that includes the dog too because she has her own special way of exuberantly letting everyone know she loves them. “The best place in the world is inside a hug.” – J Quest

Another thing that I am thankful for is Friday night movie night. We started this only last week. We made it a big production of early dinner, showers, and pajamas followed by bowls of popcorn in front of the new “Christopher Robin” movie. It was a great movie and a great night. It was such a hit that the boys requested a re-do this Friday and we watched the people version of “The Flintstones.” Fun and relaxing family time.

If we were having coffee in March I’d ask you what things you are thankful for this week?
