Coffee Post

The coffee mug on the table before me is a simple pattern of horizontal coloured lines. I study the lines as they vary in width and colour noting that perhaps the pattern isn’t as simple as I thought. The colours on the mug are black, yellow, green, red and white but they don’t repeat that way nor do the line widths vary in any distinct pattern. As I continue to ponder this I note the steam from the mug rising lazily and I shift my attention. My imagination sees the steam rising in the shape of individual question marks that break from the steam and dissipate into the air while another question mark forms from the steam and follows suit lazily up into the air…

As we have coffee on our virtual coffee date I would tell you that February’s secret life theme is half way done. It has been an interesting theme because I had thought it would be easy to create posts for it and it proved more challenging then I thought.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that the children had valentine’s parties at school this week and we did something a little different. Instead of Valentine cards we made vanilla flavoured chocolate spoons and dipped them in a white chocolate and sprinkles. It was a lot of fun and very tasty. Our own Valentines was a relaxed family evening. How was your Valentine’s Day?

If we were having coffee I would tell you that work felt a bit hectic this week and I am glad that it is the weekend. We are hoping to go and wander around a big RV sale event and see what it new in trailer layouts. Of course this will involve coffee and there is supposed to be activities for the kids too. Should be fun.

How was your week? Any weekend plans?

  1. The Valentine’s Day treats look scrumptious! I recall the cards passed out in the classroom, but not ever any candy. ::sigh::

I have relaxed, so far this weekend, having put off catching up on dish washing until Sunday, when my husband is off doing volunteer work for the afternoon. I am behind a few days on haiku writing month. Now that I’ve finished the weekend coffee share, I hope to settle down with the poetry prompts, once everyone else is in bed.

Have fun at the RV event! I actually was at Youtube, earlier, looking at a 2019 Murphy Bed RV. Just for fun, since we do not travel. But it’s enjoyable to browse.
