Missing Reflections

A mirror looking one way reveals copper tears falling into a gold coloured vase.

Through the crystal years I waited. Through the diamond nights I cried rubies, jewels, and emeralds that I once saw in his eyes. Sapphires that cut like daggers in a pearly white mist. I lost my precious gem beneath it; it’s gone, lost within. However, there are still ambers turning clocks as the hour glass ticks away with sparkling sand falling imitating life gone astray. An opal heart pounding. The silver lining ripped and frayed.

Again it’s the mirror that only looks one way and the reflection is all cracked.
