Welcome to the eighth book review of fifty-three. As you know, I provide freelance book reviews to a few different review companies. It has been a great experience, introducing me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.

If we were having coffee, I would share that my float therapy experience was positive. It’s relaxing and a bit more to it than just floating in mineral water. The pod I was in also used colour therapy. So, I could pick a colour of light related to what I wanted to focus on: blue, green, red, turquoise, violet, and yellow. So, yellow relates to the digestive system, violet is for higher self and spiritual awareness, turquoise is for emotional stability, and so on.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I attended a local book club meeting earlier this week. It’s a small group. Everyone was really welcoming. This book club runs a bit differently because it doesn’t assign us all the same book to read. Instead, there is a monthly theme, and everyone picks a book based on that theme and then shares their reading experience. So, I added a couple of new titles to my to-be-read list: The Dalai Lama’s Cat by David Michie and The Forget-Me-Not Library by Heather Webber. The theme for March is eclectic. Hmm, what should I read for that? Any suggestions?
If we were having coffee, I would pass you the coffee bean grinder and sit back to sip coffee while you tell me the highlights of your week. Please leave a link to your coffee blog in the comment section below.

The pod does have a space (science fiction) feel to it. Hmm, perhaps there is a story hidden there . . . some kind of portal or travel pod.
Thank you for stopping in. Happy Saturday.

We have float pods here in Metro Detroit too and I’ve been wanting to try it! Sounds so relaxing! Eclectic book choices, hmm.. I’d have to research that one! Here is my coffee share link, thank you for the invite. https://www.kathleenhowell.com/weekend-coffee-share/weekend-coffee-share-anticipation-and-a-change-of-scenery/

Thank you for sharing your link, Kathleen.
I had to do a bit of research on the theme. I’ve decided that I’m going to read House by the Cerulean Sea by T.J. Klune. I will share a review once I read it and try to include why I picked it for this book club theme.
Happy Sunday.
