Welcome to book review thirty-seven of fifty-two for this year’s virtual coffee shares. I’ve picked books related to the Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils theme—coffee, books, and puzzles.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I started a Buffalo Games thousand-piece puzzle titled “Kitschy Games Night.” It’s a new puzzle in my collection, and I would describe it as having a cozy feel. I have two new fall-themed puzzles coming in the mail. I will share pictures once I have completed them.

If we were having coffee, I would share what I’m reading: The Spellshop. This is Sarah Beth Durst’s debut novel. It’s a cozy fantasy, and it is a lovely story. I would recommend adding it to your to-be-read list.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I’ve registered for an online writing course focused on mystery writing. This course starts in a few weeks. I’m looking forward to learning more about the genre. It will also pair well with the novel I’m writing, which is a cozy mystery/fantasy.
Cozy seems to be the theme of my cozy share this week. I shared some reading and coffee pictures earlier this week, and they’re cozy, too. If you’d like to check them out you can see them at sharimarshallauthor.

It sounds exciting with an online mystery writing course. I hope you’ll like it!

I just started The Spellshop yesterday! I wasn’t sure I’d like it since I don’t typically like fantasy novels but so far I think it’s really adorable.

I had no idea what I was about to read. I bought it on a whim. I think “adorable” is an accurate word to describe the story.

During the seasons that allow for less outdoor time, I complete many puzzles. I find it relaxing and satisfying. I post pictures of the puzzles I complete. So, in a week or two, I will have a photo of this current puzzle. Thanks for stopping in, Kathleen.

I really enjoy cozy reading. It wasn’t something that I read before the last couple of years, but it is a lovely genre.
