Since our last coffee . . .

Welcome to book review twenty-seven of fifty-three for this year’s virtual coffee shares. I’ve picked books that are related to the theme here at Brewing Coffee, Twisting Words & Breaking Pencils—coffee, books, and puzzles.

Death by Café Mocha
Author Alex Erickson
Published in August 2019
Publisher is Kensington Cozies
Available in eBook, Audio, Audio CD, and Mass Market (304 pages)
Private Investigator Mysteries (Books) | Amateur Sleuths | Cozy Culinary Mysteries

This is book seven in the series. I have enjoyed each book so far and plan to read the full series.

You can find my full review on Goodreads: the review.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I have a book signing set up for August 16 at the Indigo in Belleville, Ontario. I ordered a new stand to display my books on with a little series sign. I will share pictures of my table set up after the event. Below is the advertising I created for the event.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I have been doing some re-reads. One book I re-read was Just as Long as We’re Together by Judy Blume. I haven’t read this novel in decades, and I enjoyed re-reading it. I was laughing because my copy of the book is dated, and the price on it is $4.50!

If we were having coffee, I would share that summer is off to a good start. We are hoping to have some campfires, company, and a few day trips. More on those events as they occur.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I updated my pages to include an About Me page. You can check it out here: About.

Here is the coffee bean grinder. How was your week?

  1. I think that is one Judy Blume book I’ve never even heard of! I’ve spent my morning prepping food for the family cookout tomorrow.

  2. I hope the book signing goes well. I’m sure it will. I’ve read many Judy Blume books but not that one. I’ve spent today on blogging.

    1. Thank you, Jackie. It would be fun to meet people from the blogging world. I don’t have anything planned for Toronto at this time, but I will post when I do. Happy Saturday.

  3. Glad you are having a good start to your summer. I hope it continues to get even better 🙂 Do you have smoke? We were getting a lot smoke from western Canada in early June, but not much since then. Cool about the upcoming “meet the author” event. I am also rereading an old favorite right now, but I will bring it up later…

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and have a wonderful week.
