Would you rather your Halloween costume be a coffee bean or a coffee plant? **I would rather my Halloween costume be a coffee bean.
If we were having coffee, I would share that my first author signing event was a lot of fun. I met a lot of interesting people, had some great conversations, built my To-Be-Read list, and received an invitation to do an event at the library in a neighbouring town. I was at the bookstore for four hours and the time flew by. It was a wonderful experience and one I look forward to doing again.

I want to share some appreciation:
- Big thanks to Mary for being my first sale of the day.
- A tip of my hat to Julez for the talk about voice acting.
- Thanks to Charity for the library invitation.
- Thank you to Tina at Indigo (Coles) for hosting the signing event.
- Other honourable mentions of gratitude to Dawn’s husband and Dawn, Nick, Alexis, and Nadine for stopping by my table to chat and give support.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I am still working through my coffee, puzzle, and writing-themed reading list. In 2025, I hope to start our coffee shares with these book reviews. I have fifty-one titles picked. I need one more. Of the fifty-one, I’m reading number twenty-six.
If we were having coffee, I would share that we were under a snowfall warning last Sunday. On Wednesday, my son built a snowman in the backyard. So far it hasn’t melted. It appears the snow came early and is here to stay. How is the weather where you live?
There is no coffee share linkup this week. Please leave a link to your post in the comment section and I will try to visit over the weekend.

Very cool that the book signing went so well! Congrats!
Haunted house, any day of the week. Didn’t you once live in a haunted house? People would recognize a coffee bean costume, but how many a coffee plant one?
With our warmer than average weather seems odd you have an early snow. But then, I have seen that the west and north west will be colder than average this winter while the east and northeast will be warmer but wetter. We’ll see…
I know you have already visited, but just so others can see: https://trentsworld.blog/2024/10/26/if-we-were-having-coffee-on-the-26th-of-october-2024-weekendcoffeshare/ .
Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you, Trent.
Great answers. And, yes, I lived in a house that had been a funeral home with a morgue in the basement. When I lived in the house, it was divided into rental units. I didn’t live in the basement, but rentals were on that level. I was on the second floor with a third floor of rentals above me. It was a cool old house. It was the inspiration for Kori Ember’s childhood house in The Ember Files.
I’m in northern Alberta, so there have been years where the snow came earlier than this and stayed. That said, the snowfall we just had has almost melted. It’s chilly still though. The pond has a skiff of ice on it in the mornings. It will be interesting to see what kind of winter we have.
Happy Sunday. Thanks for sharing your link.

Thank you, Maria. It was nice chatting with readers about my book and other books. I find that I have a hard time talking about my own work, but I imagine that gets easier. I hope you are having a lovely week.
