COFFEE 2024-2

The Donut Stop, French Cruller-flavoured coffee, has a faint nutty fragrance. There are no sugar or vanilla odours. It doesn’t scream donut from the scent. However, the taste is vanilla and burnt nut. It’s a decent cup of coffee.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that the rest of my 2024 coffee shares are going to start with “Would you rather questions.” I’m going to try to theme them for our virtual coffees. I feel like it will be an agreeable change to my typical coffee description. Maybe you will play along.

If we were having coffee, I would share a picture of the puzzle I finished this week. I am sad to share that two pieces were missing. This is the first time I’ve had this experience. It was two edge pieces that were absent, so the image was still fulfilling.

If we were having coffee, I would share writing, editing, and reading news. The nonfiction book I’m working on has a word count of just under twenty thousand words so far. Thursday, I started an online course called “Efficient Business and Professional Writing” and with it I’m reading the required text called Writing with Power. I’m also reading Songbirds and Snakes and Clicker Training.

How was your week?

  1. I always get so upset if a puzzle is missing a piece or two – especially after taking many hours to complete it. It is a beautiful image though!

    1. Well, if it had to have missing pieces then I’m glad it was the edge ones. It didn’t interfere with my enjoyment of the image, just my satisfaction completing it.

      Thanks for stopping in.

  2. Those items in all those bright colours are superb. I am such a fan of brightness and colour. I am not a jigsaw fan but I am married to one and he would be very annoyed about missing pieces too. Denyse #weekendcoffeeshare

    1. I like to complete colourful puzzles because they tend to have a happy vibe to them. Happy Saturday, Denyse.

Denyse, I wanted to say happy 100th birthday to your father. For some reason, my comment would save on your blog post.

      1. I’m sorry that happened when you wanted to comment. Substack is a different medium and to comment you need to “sign up” …if you choose to. Thanks for the good wishes!
