Is it a zee?

Google says six-hundred and ninety-three words start with letter z. Z is one of the most challenging letters in April’s A to Z blog challenge. Zax, zeal, zero, and zoo. These were my letter z contestants for 2022. It’s the twenty-sixth letter of the alphabet. We create upper case Z and lower case z with the same three lines. Two lines are horizontal. We connect them with a diagonal line. This line runs from the northeast to the southwest. Do you use Z as a sleep noise in a series of Zzzzz?

  2. Another Australian here and a vote for zed. When I was teaching I noticed quite a few children saying zee from watching Sesame Street. Well, we all made it to Z so congratulations all round.

    1. Zee or zed, I confess that I just say whichever comes out and don’t worry to much about it. It is an interesting little letter though.

    1. Oh my goodness, Seasame St. I remember watching Seasame Street and how each episode had a letter. I had forgotten about that. Thank you for the reminder, it brought a smile to my face.
