I take a cautionary sniff, smile, and inhale deeply. It is a sweet fruity blueberry smell. It isn’t a fresh berry odor but that of cooked blueberries the kind that warms the house after baking. It is a jam-like smell that tickles the senses. As I draw in another breath of my coffee the words luxurious and sensual come to mind. As much as I would like to sniff my coffee all day I also long to drink it. The taste is soft and sweet. The after taste is where I find the blueberry and it is welcome and pleasant the way the taste pattern shifts and fades. This morning’s coffee is blueberry shortcake; a blueberry and vanilla cream flavoured coffee from JAVA Factory Roasters.
If we were having coffee I would share with you my reading and series watching plans. I am currently reading The High Druid of Shannara Trilogy. When I finish the trilogy I am going to take a small reading break from The Shannara Series to read The 100. My husband and I started watching the Netflix series of The 100. I didn’t know what it was when we started but I am hooked. It is based off the book series and apparently the two are very different so I am going to read them to see. In addition to that I have been wanting to watch season one of the television series for The Shannara Chronicles and I am now in possession of that. Can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
If we were having coffee I would share with you my most recently completed puzzle. It is Outlander.

If we were having coffee I would ask you if you are participating in the A to Z blog challenge this year. In just a few shorts days we will be posting our letter “A” posts. This is the link to my theme reveal in case you missed it earlier in the month. I have some fun posts planned and I even have a guest post for one of my letters. Stay tuned!
If we were having coffee it would be time for me to pass you the coffee pot and sit back to hear about your week.
See you again for a virtual coffee April 25, 2021.

I love puzzles. That one looks hard. I was in our local airport the other day Portland International, and there was a Pendleton booth and a puzzle that had all the blanket patterns. It looked pretty and a bit hard.

I imagine that blanket patterns would make a challenging puzzle.

Hi Shari. I gave the 100 a test watch several years ago and agreed with your assessment but somewhere in season 3 I think, they went stale on me and I lost interest- almost like they were trying to squeeze too many seasons from the idea. Please comment more as you go through it. I’d love to read your response to it.

I can see with the tv series how it could go a bit stale for a viewer, they characters are stuck in a repetitive cycle. One of the things that keeps me interested is that just when I think we have covered off all the worst ways to die and new one comes up. Anyway, I have started the books yet but I will keep you posted. Thanks for stopping in Gary.
