The boy finished up with the burnt brown colour and stood back to admire the beautiful cup of coffee image he had created for his mother. The boy smiled to himself knowing that he had created something special with this work of art. He called his mom to come and see. He loved the look on her face as her eyes grew big with wonder at the realistic looking cup of coffee. “I love it,” she cried and embraced her son in a hug. “Hold on mom, that is not even the best part.” The boy placed the picture on the floor by their feet then he reached for his mother’s hand and jumped forward pulling her with him. Their feet didn’t land on the image though. Instead the boy and his mother plunged feet first into the heated brown water and dipped briefly beneath the surface. When they broke the surface of the coffee both of them were laughing, splashing and enjoying the coffee hot springs. Well, the boy said to his mom, “you always say how you drink so much coffee that you should just swim in it…”
If we were having coffee I would share with you that I reached 800 for followers. It was a nice surprise this week to see that. Some of you might remember that I posted a 50 before 50 list a while back and one of my items was to grow my blog to 1000 followers. I know that I am still 200 wonderful followers away but it is still very exciting. Thank you to all of you for your support!
If we were having coffee I would tell you that it was a windy week. There were a few days this week that I couldn’t open my greenhouse for fear that it would blow away if the
wind got in and under the plastic roof. There has been sun mixed in with all that wind though, so that has been nice. It is always uplifting to see those golden rays of sunshine. In Spanish I would say, Es la primavera y hace viento perol sol está brillante (It is spring and it’s windy but the sun is shining). How is the weather where you live?
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I have been thinking a bit about what my blog will look like next year. Yes, I know it is a bit early but this comes on the heels of another thought I have been having. So, first I feel like I haven’t been committed to any bigger writing projects and it is a bit disappointing. This leads to me thinking about my blog and I am thinking about doing a follow-me and my writing journey posts. Thoughts?
If we were having coffee I would wish you a great weekend!
