It’s bold creamy and sweet. The rich Brazilian coffee beans have been brewed perfectly and added to a vanilla flavoured cream to create a coffee lover’s dream. It is cold and smooth on the tongue. With a thoughtful wink over my coffee cup I hold up a scoop of that delicious coffee flavoured ice cream and plop it into my coffee for a special little treat.

If we were having coffee I would tell you this last week of my summer holidays has been mostly cold and rainy. Early in the week we cooked a nice roast beef with all the trimmings and I shared a picture on of it on Facebook titled, “When August feels like October.” I have been told that there are actually calling for snow in September!
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I have been wanting to frost my front door and paint it a fun colour for a while. My husband wasn’t fond of the idea so I didn’t rush to get it done. However, at the beginning of the summer I did frost it and he actually liked it a lot. So, since then I have been trying to decide what colour to paint the door and I painted it this week. We choose nice bluish colour.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that I made gluten-free pie crust from scratch for the first time this week. I have never actually made pie crust before gluten-free or otherwise so I was a bit nervous, but I am happy to say it turned out wonderfully and we now have a recipe that we all enjoy. Can’t wait to make pumpkin pie in October (the actual month of October not this fall like August).
If we were having coffee I would ask how your week has been?

Hi Shari,
I used to paint houses as a means to earn tuition $$.
I did a few doors but looked as cool as yours does.
If i still had that team, I’d hire you.

October is my favourite month too but I enjoy it more when the calendar doesn’t read August, haha.

Ice-cream in coffee! That is something I should give a try.

I like the blue color for the door. About the weather, it’s felt for the last week or more that we are heading into fall. Half expecting frost here, soon, in spite of it’s not even September, yet. I remember September as being uncomfortably warm.
Congratulations on the pie crust!

Mmm, your coffee is delish! What an awesome door change. Really pops, now! I love baking, too. Haven’t made gluten free anything, though. For me, I just don’t see the difference, tastes the same. Anyway, we’ve got a nice steady rain falling this Monday morning. It was so nice this weekend that we were out and about. It feels like fall here, too. We don’t foresee any snow until late December, what with all the rain we’ve had this spring and summer….usually predicts a dry but very cold winter ahead. We’ll see. I hope you have a great week!
