Weekend Coffee Share

JUNE 8 2019 Coffee Post imageCamping and coffee, is there anything else to say?

If we were having coffee I would tell you that our first lengthy camping adventure is coming up and the whole family is looking forward to it. The countdown is on. Are you counting down for anything?

If we were having coffee I would you that we had my youngest son’s birthday party last weekend and went very well. He choose the same theme as his brother this year, Super Mario, so that made planning easier. However, I did do a few little things different for them and the location wasn’t the same; this party was a pool/waterslide party.

Has anyone ever tried sing the crockpot to cook hotdogs? We tried it for the party and the hotdogs were a hit!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that it has been chilly here and rainy as well. We needed to rain, but a little warmth would be nice. The good thing about chilly damp weather is the reading time. I am almost finished Brene Brown’s Rising Strong that I mentioned last Coffee Share and I am happy to say that it has been a great read and one I would recommend. So once those last few pages are finished up I will be moving back The Wheel of Time Series. Are you reading anything good right now?

  3. My wife has uttered those sacred words – she wants to go camping. For many years, she was not interested and now, I get to come up with some fun ideas.
Our kiddos are old enough to have college or career stuff going on so the chance of getting all five of us around a camp fire is going to be tough.
Happy family times to you and yours Shari.

    1. Camping can be such a great way to relax. When I don’t have the family around the fire with me I usually have a great book! Have a nice week Gary and thanks for stopping in.

  4. How fun! Hope he had a nice birthday.. Looking forward to hearing about your camping trip! I’m finishing up Let It Burn, by Steve Hamilton. It’s a fictional story about a retired Detroit cop who returns to a previous case, a murder mystery.. Thanks for the coffee!
