Take a few minutes for yourself friend. Sit down, put your feet up, take a sip of this warm coffee and savor the pleasant tangy flavour. It is important to take a few minutes for yourself and I am so glad that we are able to enjoy these minutes together today over a relaxing coffee. Honestly, I don’t think coffee breaks/dates will ever get old. For me the relaxing, the warm beverage, the good company and the friendly conversation are just what the doctor ordered.
If we were having coffee today I would tell would share some pictures with you from our camp trip. We camped at Dunvegan Provincial Park and I was surprised by the amount of ice and snow still built up around the Peace River. Regardless, camping was good and the weather was great. It was a nice way to refresh.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that we seemed too moved directly from winter into wildfire season. The smoke was bad on Thursday, not the worst I have seen, but enough to grey the sky. My thoughts go out to those people who are closer to the fires then we are and I hope they are all safe.
If we were having coffee I would share that we had a few really fun nights after school and work this week. Wednesday we went to the park with the kids and we just sat and watched them play. There weren’t any benches so we sat in the grass. The dog was clearly confused by this because she backed up and sat on my lap so she could see the kids and be comfortable. As if that was amusing enough, we played a game of family soccer one night and where was Maddi? Well, she was in the thick of it. She blocked goals, she scored goals, she proved herself to be a good defense dog and she ran away with the ball a few times. She tuckered herself right out. Funny little dog!
How was your week?
