If we were having coffee I would start by telling you that I am happily participating for the first time in the A – Z blogging challenge. The theme reveal is on the 20th of March. I will be posting a short piece every day except Sundays for the month of April. My theme for this challenge is parenting, and my inspiration came from my post called Raising Boys: The Penis Chronicles posted on June 19, 2016. That said, on April 1 I will post the letter A for Anatomy.
If we were having coffee on this beautiful day in March I would tell you that being back to work after an extend leave has been an adjustment. Even on a progressive return to work program it has taken a lot of extra effort on my part to maintain that fit mental health balance that I am always learning more about. That said, being out of the house and back into the work force has felt productive and empowering. One day at a time, and if I need to I can slow it down to one hour, one minute, or one second.
If we were having coffee I would tell you that I finished week 5 of the T25 exercise program. I completed this on the heels of Insanity Max. T25 is just 25 minutes a day of exercising so it fits wonderfully into a busy schedule, and I found that 25 minutes wasn’t hard to rap my mind around every day. Between the 2 exercise programs I shed 20 pounds. I kind of wish that I had of tracked inches instead of weight though. Anyway, it isn’t quite running weather yet so I am not sure where exercise will go from here.
If we were having coffee I am sure you would be wondering why I am having coffee twice in March when I normal am a once a month coffee sharer. The reason has to do with the A –Z challenge. I decided that I will only post for the challenge in April and I have suspended all my other posts until the end of the challenge. So, I am sorry I won’t make our coffee date in April but I promise to see you in May!
My last bit of coffee news that I am delighted to share involves The Cauldron Anthology. I am happy to announce that I have been accepted to join the editorial team for this wonderful up and coming magazine. I carry the title of Essay Editor. For anyone who might be interested the Art Editor position is open. The first issue goes live in April, April 20th to be exact. Submissions are currently closed, but we are working though ideas for our next theme. Please follow us at http://cauldronanthology.weebly.com/.
Now enough about me, what’s your coffee news?

Hello from the A to Z challenge. This is my second time in the challenge. The first time was kind of a trial by fire for me, but I’ve looked forward to it ever since! I’ll be coming around because I have a strong feeling your posts will be entertaining….and probably educational!

This is a great post. I enjoyed our coffee together even though I don’t actually drink coffee. 😉 Anyway, welcome to the challenge! It’s a bit of a time suck (understatement) but fun nonetheless and I’ve met a lot of great people through it (this is my third year). Good luck, and I’ll be stopping in to see how the parenting life goes. 🙂

Welcome to the A to Z Challenge. My parenting days are far behind me, but I still enjoy reading the perspectives of others regarding this subject.
Have a great April!
