Welcome to the forty-first book review of fifty-three. As you know, I used to provide freelance book reviews to several review companies. It was a great experience that introduced me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.
The Fantasy Fiction Formula
The author is Deborah Chester
Published in January 2016
The publisher is Manchester University Press
Available in Audiobook, eBook, and Paperback (363 pages)
Creative Writing & Composition Textbooks | Science Fiction & Fantasy Writing | Authorship (Books)
I have added this title to my resource page. You can find my full review of it on Goodreads (Let’s connect there to share reviews: Goodreads platform). As noted in my review, “I enjoyed this book so much that I am following up by adding a copy of Deborah’s book Fiction Formula Fix-It to my writer’s toolkit as well.”

If we were having coffee, I would share a couple of pictures from last weekend’s adventures. It was a lovely birthday and Thanksgiving time.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I have been experimenting with a new platform that Bookbrush is offering for generating book characters. It’s been fun. I am going to use the images for advertising once I get a few created. I will share some of those during coffee in a few weeks.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I have the Author Showcase book event this weekend. It’s an out-of-town event for me, so I will do my best to pop into your coffee shares during free time. Please leave the link to your coffee share in the comments section below. Here is the coffee bean grinder. How was your week?

Sounds like a fun event. What a great idea, to cycle through re-sharing previous reviews. I’m not sure when I even started reviewing! LOL Thanks for sharing 🙂

It is the first time sharing the review on my blog, but occasionally the review hits Goodreads first. Thanks for stopping by, Becki. Happy Monday.

Belated birthday wishes, Sparkle! A platform for generating book characters sounds fun. Too late for me now, as I’ve retired but for up-and-coming authors I should imagine it would be a great tool.
