Between Refills: What’s been going on when I’m not sipping coffee.

Welcome to the thirty-seventh book review of fifty-three. As you know, I used to provide freelance book reviews to several review companies. It was a great experience that introduced me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.

If we were having coffee, I would share that last weekend’s book events went well. There was so much lovely book energy flowing and so many wonderful book conversations. It was fun to speak with aspiring authors and share resources. Big thanks to everyone who came to my table to chat. Big thanks as well to Lindsay Coles and Peterborough Indigo.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I found a group on Facebook to swap tarot readings. I love working with the cards, and this is a wonderful way to meet other readers too.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I’ve changed my blog, focusing on the look of book posts and service pages. It was a bit of work, but I think they turned out well. Check out The Cinnamon Cauldron: Tarot, Reiki & Everyday Magic. This page links to my service pages, which I also updated. I would love some likes on the tarot, Reiki, and coaching pages; that would be a tremendous help.

Well, that’s my week summed up. Here is the coffee bean grinder. How was your week?

    1. Melissa, I was thinking about you yesterday and wondering if you’d be around for virtual coffee. I’m so happy you are here!

  2. I must admit that I find those authors’ tables at Indigo intimidating! There is often one in the TD Tower store downtown Toronto. I shy away from it as I don’t know what to say and I feel bad about that.

    1. Jackie, you are not alone. Sometimes people won’t look in my direction; for the people who do, I smile and say hello. I can’t speak for other authors, but it can be a long day if nobody comes to chat. I love it when people stop by to ask what I’m reading, to share reading recommendations, or to ask a writing question for themselves or about my process. I love connecting with people who love books.

Thank you for stopping in for a virtual coffee. Happy Saturday!
