TBR running low!

I stand before it, as I do every day, planning which title to consume next. Today is different, though, as my breathing spikes and my heart pounds.

My book pile is dwindling!

I shift focus from my heap of novels to the coffee mug clutched in my hands. The rich brown liquid sloshes close to the rim as my nerves get the better of me. Abibliophobia—the condition that plagues me—calls for its remedy. With haste, I search for my keys.

“Beloved bookstore, expect my arrival. And precious books, you will be mine.”

I wrote this post in response to Sammi Cox’s Weekend Writing Prompt. Ninety-four words using the word abibliophobia.

  1. I can’t even imagine my TBR pile running low! I usually have an audiobook in one of my apps, a paper book next to my bed (that pile is dangerously high right now), and I have an ereader loaded up with books, too! And then you can start counting up the books on my “Want to read” category on Goodreads… 🙂
