What? Eclectic is a book club theme?

Welcome to the eighth book review of fifty-three. As you know, I provide freelance book reviews to a few different review companies. It has been a great experience, introducing me to new authors and their wonderful books. Each week this year, I’m opening my Weekend Coffee shares with a link to a review I’ve provided. Reviews are three stars or higher. The genres range from picture books to fiction and nonfiction titles.

If we were having coffee, I would share that my float therapy experience was positive. It’s relaxing and a bit more to it than just floating in mineral water. The pod I was in also used colour therapy. So, I could pick a colour of light related to what I wanted to focus on: blue, green, red, turquoise, violet, and yellow. So, yellow relates to the digestive system, violet is for higher self and spiritual awareness, turquoise is for emotional stability, and so on.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I attended a local book club meeting earlier this week. It’s a small group. Everyone was really welcoming. This book club runs a bit differently because it doesn’t assign us all the same book to read. Instead, there is a monthly theme, and everyone picks a book based on that theme and then shares their reading experience. So, I added a couple of new titles to my to-be-read list: The Dalai Lama’s Cat by David Michie and The Forget-Me-Not Library by Heather Webber. The theme for March is eclectic. Hmm, what should I read for that? Any suggestions?

If we were having coffee, I would pass you the coffee bean grinder and sit back to sip coffee while you tell me the highlights of your week. Please leave a link to your coffee blog in the comment section below.
