If we were having coffee, I would share a picture from my trip to Edmonton with my son. Both my boys are at the age or stage where they don’t want to be photographed. If I capture their picture, they prefer I don’t share it. So, I have no picture of the both of us to share.

We had a delightful time. We enjoyed some great food, a movie, shopping, and swimming. It was relaxing and a nice break.

If we were having coffee, a picture of the puzzle I finished. It is called “Rainy Manhattan.” It had some challenging sections but was enjoyable to put together.

If we were having coffee, I would share a link to a post I did a couple of weeks ago. I’m going to post a series of formatting posts. My first was called Drop Cap. While we’re discussing writing, I’ll share that I did some hands-on research this weekend for my new urban fantasy book. There was a psychic fair in town. So, before I left for Edmonton, we checked it out. I had a picture taken of my aura, a reading, and browsed the crystals and stones. My aura picture determined that I am an Indigo Personality. It was a lot of fun. There is a charged energy in that environment that I can’t describe. It has to be experienced.

Here is the coffee bean grinder, virtual friend. How was your week?

  1. Oh I love that puzzle! My boys don’t like having their photo taken often but I will definitely give them a heads up and the right to approve or nix it if I want to post it on the blog.

  2. We are visiting National Parks here and I would love to have a family photo taken and when I give my phone to a stranger, my younger one soon to be 21 tries to escape. Ha ha, I have to find innovative ways to take his picture. You look beautiful.

  3. Glad you had a good little get-away with your son. I don’t know if I’d want to do a psychic fair, but there is a part of me that would have fun.

Enjoy your weekend and have a wonderful week ahead!

  4. Sounds like lovely times were had! I know all about my kiddos not wanting their photos taken. It sometimes makes me sad because I was the same way and so there are great swaths of time where I am simply not in the few family photos and candid shots that exist. Alas, agency over one’s image is important. Glad you had good times! hope your weekend is wonderful!

    1. Sometimes when they know the picture is just for my personal photo album and not social media they humour me. But, I agree, having control over their image is important. Have a lovely weekend, Melissa.
