Coffee Time—2024-44

Would you rather eat banana cake with coffee cream cheese frosting or Baileys Irish Cream and coffee cupcakes? ** I would rather eat a Baileys and coffee cupcake. I think it sounds like a tasty treat.
Would you rather use a coffee-scented soap or a coffee-scented candle? **I love scented candles. I have been burning a pumpkin-clove-scented candle this month. So, I would rather have a coffee-scented candle for my candle collection.

If we were having coffee, I would share this picture. It’s from one of our family game sessions. I think it is a fun picture.

If we were having coffee, I would share another picture. This is the most recent puzzle I finished. It is a 1000-piece Buffalo Games puzzle. It’s called The Grande Fiction Library by Aimee Stewart. This was a new puzzle for my collection. It had some challenging sections, and the image is interesting to explore.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I started a course called Document Design and Production for Editors. I have one more course this year, Ethics and Legal Issues in Writing and Publishing. Then early next year I can apply for the last course, Final Project: Editing. This certificate program has been great. The content is interesting, informative, and useful.

If we were having coffee, I would share some reading and writing news. I’m reading Coffee Shop Girls and Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers. I just started both, so I’m not far enough into either book to have an opinion yet. On a writing front, I’m hoping to get a manuscript evaluation done in December. I have two book covers mocked up and I would like to get some feedback about them in November. I like both covers but would like some reader’s opinions on which one is more appealing. More on that later, for now, here is the coffee pot. How was your week?

  1. Bailey’s and coffee cupcake, please… Sounds like a good time of games and puzzles – that puzzle does look interesting. Glad your certificate program is going well and that you can see the light at the end of that tunnel.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend and have a wonderful week ahead 🙂

      1. Courses are going good. Everything is very informal, not really classes. i am trying to do each subject in at least two formats if not three (video lectures (Teaching company), online self-study courses (Brilliant.org), books, etc.)

  2. I wish I had some coffee scented candles! I love the puzzle so much, seems like a perfect picture for a puzzle to highlight all of those wonderful details!

  3. Hi Shari!
I would love a scented coffee candle. I just love when I smell coffee brewing. I love drinking it too! Haha! I too love the photo of the game you all are playing and your puzzles are also so pretty. That one looks challenging!

Looks like you are really getting along in your course work. You’ll be certified before you know it, congrats on your hard work. I’m keeping busy with my family, work and Murphy! I’m hoping to write a coffee share today. Have a wonderful week ahead! 🤩

  4. Baileys and coffee cupcake for me too. I like the colors in the photo from your family game session, probably because they make me think of coffee. Great news about your writing courses and I am happy to hear that you are enjoying them.
