Writing and reading news—COFFEE 2024-23

Would you rather drink a café mocha (½ hot chocolate and ½ coffee) or ½ coffee and ½ chocolate milk? *I would rather drink the café mocha.

Would you rather sneeze after every sip of coffee or pass gas as the coffee travels over your taste buds? *I would rather sneeze after every sip of coffee.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that my new Yeti mugs have been wonderful for keeping my coffee hot. When I use one of them, I don’t have to worry about picking up my mug and finding my coffee has turned cold.

If we were having coffee, I would share the link for Wednesday’s business post: Copy Editing. I would also share that Chimera and Curses earned an honourable mention in the wild card category of the San Francisco book festival. From writing news to reading news. I have joined the reviewer’s team for Readers’ Favorite Reviews; I provided my opinion on books as a reader.

If we were having coffee, I would share that my younger son’s birthday party last weekend was a success. My husband and I were exhausted after. Having 9 eleven-year-old boys in a small indoor space—we did laser tag—wasn’t my smartest choice. They had fun, but they had too much energy for indoors.

So, here’s the coffee pot. How are you?

  1. I went to my kid’s classmate’s birthday party. It started at 3pm which I found really late in the day for a kid’s birthday party. Thankfully she went to bed early.

    1. Yes, one of the wonderful things about going to birthday parties is how tired the kids are afterward. Thanks for stopping in, Julie. I hope you are having a nice week.
