Would you rather live in a coffee mug or a coffee pot?

If we were having coffee, I would ask if you have been enjoying the “would you rather” questions that start my coffee shares. I think would you rather can be an entertaining game depending on the questions and the answers provided. So, for this week I would rather eat a mocha cake. Coffee cake is one of my favourite treats. My husband made me one for Mother’s Day a few weeks ago and I gobbled it up. And for question two, I would rather live in a coffee pot. It would have more space than the mug. I’m envisioning a glass coffee pot and a terrarium feel.

If we were having coffee, I would ask, are you looking for a place to relax and write this summer? A & O Cottage Rentals still has openings available for summer vacation.

If we were having coffee, I would update on my reading and writing news. I finished reading Well of Ascension and I’m reading the last book in the trilogy, Age of Heros. My editor has returned my manuscript for From the Ashes, and I’m working my way through the feedback. I’m also working on feedback from my alpha readers for the non-fiction book. I’ve paused world-building on my new fantasy series because it’s just too many writing projects to be moving between. Hmm, what else can I tell you? Oh, I plan to write a post about copyediting and link it up to my Homepage soon and I’m going to add a page for resources before the fall.

Have you heard of Grammar Girl? My editing courses introduced me to her podcast last year, and a book called The Grammar Devotional. I occasionally mix up the words then and than. The Grammar Devotional provided a trick to help me remember when to use which word: than for comparison and then for time. Simple but brilliant.

I almost forgot. Here is a picture of the 1990s-themed puzzle that I just completed.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I have been signing my coffee posts with the year 2023 instead of 2024. I’m laughing because I think I have been doing it all year and here we are a day away from June and I just noticed.
