Would you rather give up coffee or give up chocolate?
Would you rather read a book while you drink your coffee or watch television?
Coffee or chocolate—how can I choose? Since the rules of “Would you rather” say that a player has to pick one of the two options, I would rather give up chocolate. Because I drink coffee every day, how could I give it up? I don’t eat chocolate daily. Also, I can always get some kind of chocolate based specialty coffee once in a while. I would rather read a book while drinking my coffee.
If we were having coffee, I would start the conversation with dog updates. Maddi’s surgery went well. The recovery period is lengthy, and we had to put a ramp in for her to get outside. She’s in good spirits and I think that’s half the battle. Riggs isn’t sure what to do with himself because Maddi’s recovery program doesn’t allow other pets near her. He sleeps outside her enclosure; it’s cute. He is also busy losing teeth. Riggs, the clumsy puppy, ran into the bench when he was playing. He started sneezing and sneezing . . . then one of his teeth sailed across the room. It was a bit scary because it was one of the big top teeth. He was fine, but this dog parenting business is keeping me on my toes.

If we were having coffee, I would share that I finished one of the diamond paintings and stained the rectangle box. I need to put the material into the box and then that project is done. I’ve started the second diamond puzzle, but I have a way to go with it still.
If we were having coffee, I would share that I ordered some advertising items for Writing Sparkle Books. When the ground thaws I’m going to put a sign on the front lawn. For now, I have a magnet for my truck and window stickers for my husband’s truck and our RV.
So, that’s my week. How was yours?

Hi Shari, happy coffee day. I’m drinking my chocolate coffee as I read. I would choose chocolate. I can live without coffee, although I rarely do. So what do you do as a dog parent? Are you raising puppies? We are looking for a puppy or a young dog to adopt. We lost ours a year ago, and I am going nuts. I’m hoping for some kind of a poodle mix because they don’t shed, and they have such cute faces. We also loved a beagle pup we saw recently. Good luck with all your business ventures. I love your title. It caught my interest.

Hi Marsha. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your dog. I know how hard that is; they leave such a gap in our lives when they go. I wish you luck in your puppy search. They bring such joy. Riggs makes me laugh every day.
No, I don’t raise pups; I just have my pets. We have two boxers right now, Maddi and Riggs. We are a boxer family for life. Friends of ours had a labradoodle, she was a nice dog.
Happy Friday.

Dogs have always been a big part of my life. Now I accost everyone I see walking their dog to talk to the dogs. The dogs seem know because they strain to come see me and they don’t know me. They must sniff out my need to pet them. LOL One yesterday was staining at her leash in from of the door and had me in a staring contest. I didn’t know the neighbor, but I asked if her dog wanted to come say hi. She said yes, and let the dog have her way. The dog came right over to me and stuck her nose in my hand. We chatted and loved for a minute, then she was fine to go inside.
Have a great week. 🙂

They know for sure. We had a similar experience walking Maddi. Neighbours up the street we didn’t know had lost their boxer and they saw Maddi. She’s usually timid with strangers, but not this couple.

That’s much too easy for me… I don’t drink coffee at all so I wouldn’t even be giving anything up. Glad to hear both pups are okay but that tooth thing would have freaked me out too. Do they grow back like human/toddler teeth?

Hi Joanne. Well, that “Would you rather” worked out well for you. Haha.
As for Riggs and his teeth, yes it was a puppy tooth. He is at the teething stage, but the tooth he lost wasn’t supposed to come out this young. His adult dog teeth will grow in as the baby teeth fall out.
Thanks for stopping in.

Coffee – I can drink tea but nothing replaces chocolate! The next is an odd question – What is television? I think I’ve heard of it before, back when I was a kid. And people talk about these things they say the watch, but I doubt if you could even get my 4 day dead corpse to sit in front of one of those time/mind destroying boxes! lol.
It is scary about the tooth. I would have been freaked out!
Hope your weekend is going well and that you have a wonderful week ahead!

Haha, love the television response—a mind-controlling box.
Thanks for stopping in, Trent.

Oh gosh, flying tooth! 😂 when I read the title I was sure hoping it wasn’t you or a family member! I’m glad Maddi is recovering, but it sounds like Riggs is really missing her. As for the would you rather, I’d rather give up chocolate 😬 and it depends on the day but I guess I’d rather read with my coffee as well!
Congrats on getting some advertising for your business!! And on getting some projects worked on!

Hi Shari,
Despite our home being too small for them, we had dogs growing up. We even had puppies but I have no memory of any of the sneezing teeth – that – is – hysterical ! ! !
I was glad you provided an update on Maddie, especially since she’s doing so good. It’s even better knowing how well loved she is with your family.

I lost both of my dogs last year and I miss them so much. I remember when they lost teeth and I would find them just lying around on the floor. It was a little unsettling. I think I could give up chocolate before coffee. I like my coffee every morning it is such a treat. Have a wonderful week.

Between the two, I would give up chocolate. I just enjoy the bitter taste of coffee more — I usually drink it black. I’m glad that Maddi’s surgery went well. For Riggs, I never thought one would sneeze a tooth out. I have two dogs too. One has most of his teeth gone so i’m not sure how much more teeth he would lose. The other dog still has most of his teeth — they’re a little crooked but I think it’s kind of cute.

Us coffee lovers will give up most sweet things too keep our precious Java.
Crocked teeth would give a dog face some character, which I love. Riggs has a bit of under bite so he has that unique character happening too.
Thanks for visiting, Julie.
