I’m sipping Bean Around the World brand coffee this morning. It’s a flavour they’ve labelled as Canadian—Maple Syrup. A crystalized sugar smell is present in the fragrance, soft and pleasant. The taste has a bitter, buttery thing going on. It’s a nice cup of coffee.

If we were having coffee, I would say “hello December.” My Christmas tree is up, and I confess that it has been up for a while. Our Friday night movie nights started the Christmas movie theme last Friday night. We started with Ernest Saves Christmas and our line up for the next few weeks is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Home Alone, Elf, and The Santa Clause. On Christmas Eve, we are going to watch the newest cartoon version of The Grinch.

If we were having coffee, I would share that we went and saw Jeff Dunham live this week. It was my first experience seeing a comedian live. What a great time. My whole family went and the boys really enjoyed it. They love Peanut; I do too.

I almost forgot. If we were having coffee, I would share that NaNoWriMo 2023 is complete. I finished writing the last novel in The Ember Files. Thank you NaNo and thank you for your support. December will see me completing my first full read through.

If we were having coffee, I would cut it short this week. Sorry, I have Christmas cards to get in the mail, a few gifts to wrap, and my book is holding a place on the sofa for me.

    1. Hi Alexandra. Finishing that last manuscript for the series is exciting. Jeff Dunham was a great night of laughs. The whole family enjoyed it.

      The Grinch movies are among my favourites. I used to watch the old cartoon Grinch movie every year with my mom. The new cartoon Grinch is cute and I find it has some great humour in it too. So, the new one is the one my boys picked to watch this year and last. Can’t wait. Thanks for stopping in. Happy Saturday.

  2. So far we’ve watched Elf, National Lampoon’s Christmas, and we’re slotted to watch Home Alone tonight. We love going to comedy shows and have seen Jeff Dunham before; he’s a lot of fun.

    1. Hi, Trent. Yes, writing this series has been an experience full of learning, growing, and a bit of sadness as it was coming to an end. I can’t wait to start another series. Once editing is complete on this manuscript, I’m going to start worldbuilding. Happy Saturday.
