Do you like the flavour of coconut?

Can I offer you a Coconut Rum Flavoured Coffee? For those who have tasted the Malibu Coconut Rum, this coffee doesn’t taste or smell that way. The scent of coconut is prominent, but the sip is bitter and oily. It isn’t my top coffee choice, but it is one that I enjoy occasionally.

If we were having coffee, I would share with you that a few weekends ago, my sons and I wandered into a store we hadn’t visited before. The unpainted Dungeons and Dragons characters drew my sons in. We don’t play; I know what it is, but that’s where my knowledge ends. So, we bought a couple of small figurines and paints. The man who was cashing us out was a hoot! He was doing character voices and having a blast with us. He said he’s always the dungeon master—I can understand why. Anyway, his passion for the game led to us buying a starter set. So far we are still busy painting characters . . .

If we were having coffee, I would share that I’ve been successful in writing every day for NaNo. My word count as of last night was 15,571. I figured out my working title: From the Ashes.

If we were having coffee, I would pass you the coffee pot and settle back to hear about your week.

    1. The salesman pointed out how good Dungeons and Dragons is for creativity. True point, but not one I had given much thought to. I’m sure it will be fun.

NaNo was just what I needed for accountability with this title. I was procrastinating.

  1. My boys started playing D&D online with a whole group of their friends and my older son tends to be the dragon master the most and really gets into it. I honestly don’t know much about the game myself but they all start laughing and having a ball and that makes me smile.

    1. Hi Joanne. I didn’t realize there was an online game too. The starter kit the salesman sold us has an intense manual full of rules and instructions. It’s a bit intimidating.

    1. I believe we both can and will, Dinah. With NaNo, I’m just rolling with it. If I make my word count great and if I don’t then that’s okay too. No pressure. Be kind to yourself.

      Thanks for stopping in.
